Job Title: Senior Node.js Developer

E Square System & Technologies Pvt Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Node.js Developer to join our team. As a key member of our backend development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying complex, high-performance server-side applications using Node.js.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and Develop Server-Side Applications: Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex, high-performance server-side applications using Node.js.
  • Database Design and Optimization: Architect and optimize PostgreSQL databases, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Implement complex database queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • API Development and Integration: Design and implement RESTful and Graph QL APIs. Ensure seamless integration with third-party services and internal platforms.
  • Performance Tuning and Scalability: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Architect scalable systems capable of handling high traffic and large volumes of data.
  • Security: Implement security measures across the stack, including database security, authentication, encryption, and authorization best practices.
  • Code Quality and Best Practices: Ensure code quality by following software engineering best practices (TDD, BDD, code reviews, etc.) and writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps: Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure, with experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers. Participate in code reviews and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Technical Documentation: Write and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that development processes and systems are well documented.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and system architects, to ensure smooth integration and alignment with business goals.
  • Monitoring and Debugging: Implement monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to diagnose issues and ensure system uptime.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in backend development with at least 5 years working extensively with Node.js and PostgreSQL.
  • Node.js Expertise: Proficient in developing complex backend systems and RESTful/Graph QL APIs using Node.js.
  • PostgreSQL Expertise: Deep expertise in PostgreSQL database design, query optimization, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning for large datasets.
  • JavaScript/TypeScript Mastery: Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), and experience working with TypeScript in large-scale applications.
  • Advanced Database Knowledge: Proficiency in designing relational database schemas, indexing strategies, and database normalization principles. Experience with database replication, partitioning, and sharding in PostgreSQL.
  • Architecture Experience: Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance architectures for distributed systems.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure. Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • API Development: Extensive experience in building and consuming RESTful and Graph QL APIs. Understanding of API versioning, security, and performance optimization.
  • Testing and Code Quality: Expertise in automated testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai, etc.) and best practices for unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
  • Security Best Practices: Strong knowledge of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, data encryption, and preventing common vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.
  • Version Control and CI/CD: Proficiency in Git and experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
