The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for leading the implementation and management of cloud solutions. This includes conducting proof-of-concepts (POCs) and prototyping, defining integration design and security design for web services and enterprise component development, and working on networking and security topics as an AWS cloud administrator.

Duties & Responsibilities

">
  • Conduct POCs and prototyping of cloud solutions
  • Define integration design and security design for web services and enterprise component development
  • Work on networking and security topics as an AWS cloud administrator
  • Manage storage solutions like AWS-Storage
  • Work extensively on AWS-EKS
  • Create and manage Docker images
  • Analyze and optimize cloud costs
  • Manage Kubernetes (k8s) system services and worker nodes
  • Collaborate with Database Administration and DBMS teams
  • Create documentation and design documents
  • Provide estimates for project requirements
  • Collaborate with senior architecture group, work with internal technology teams, and contribute to internal initiatives
  • Have a good understanding of Kubernetes API and client libraries (Postgres, Redis, Prometheus, etc.)
  • Be proficient in Infrastructure as Code concepts

Required Skills & Qualifications

">
  • Minimum 7+ years relevant experience with hands-on coding ability to program independently
  • Must have AWS Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional)
  • Strong Linux/UNIX experience
  • Hands-on experience in Terraform
  • Experience in AWS Cloud platforms across a wide range of services
  • Experience in implementing AWS Cloud Security
  • Experience using Postgres databases (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Load Balancing, Auto-Scaling, and Route 53 for traffic management
  • Experience with Network Access Control List, VPC peering, AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail
  • Ability to design Highly Available and/or Fault-Tolerant Architectures
  • Experience with open-source technologies and tools
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying high-scale solutions in Kubernetes
  • Understanding of optimized coding for memory consumption, performance, scalability, security, caching, etc.
  • Experience with Docker, HELM, and Kubernetes (mandatory)
  • Experience working with scripting languages (YAML)
  • Experience with stateless/stateful applications deployed on Kubernetes in production environments
  • Working experience with AWS and Kubernetes API
  • Experience with reporting and analysis tools for cloud platforms
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines from scratch

  • Experience with Load Balancing, DNS, and data caching techniques
  • Ability to instrument distributed applications for monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Manage environments using Terraform – write Terraform code to maintain environment states
