Job Description

The role of an AWS Data Engineer involves the end-to-end implementation of cloud data engineering solutions, including enterprise data lakes and data hubs in AWS.

The candidate will interact with stakeholders to understand requirements and be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure cloud-based systems.

Key responsibilities include architecting and delivering highly scalable distributed cloud-based enterprise data solutions, implementing data processing pipelines, and ensuring data security and compliance.

Additionally, the candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data engineering solutions with other business applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 4-8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and cloud computing.
  • Technical skills: Strong expertise in AWS cloud technology, proficiency in Lambda or Kappa architectures, knowledge of data management concepts and data modeling.
  • Programming languages: Python/Scala programming background.
  • Big Data frameworks: Experience in Hadoop and Spark is mandatory.
  • Cloud services: Strong experience in AWS compute services like EMR, Glue, and storage services like S3, Redshift & Dynamodb.
  • Streaming services: Good experience with any one of the AWS Streaming Services like Kinesis, SQS, and MSK.
  • DevOps tools: Good knowledge of Application DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD Frameworks).
