Database Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Database Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing database solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

  • Design and implement high-availability database architectures
  • Develop and maintain complex relational database reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Manage and optimize database performance, including locking, process blocking, and performance tuning
  • Create and maintain monitoring and metrics tooling and dashboards to provide insights into database performance and operation
  • Develop and deploy new database objects and changes to existing database objects, including tables, stored procedures, views, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of relational database architecture and infrastructure, specifically Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and support tooling
  • Knowledge of Transact-SQL (T-SQL), stored procedures, and day-to-day DB functions
  • Advanced knowledge of how to optimize Microsoft SQL Server, including high availability and disaster recovery
  • Strong knowledge of systems and software development lifecycles; application integration techniques; and relational database design
  • Experience with Always On High Availability Groups is a plus
