Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data transformation pipelines using dbt on Snowflake.

Key responsibilities include building ingestion pipelines from various sources into Snowflake, implementing data modeling and transformation logic to support layered architecture, and leveraging orchestration tools to schedule and monitor data workflows.

Additional responsibilities include performing performance optimizations in dbt/Snowflake through clustering, query profiling, materialization, partitioning, and efficient SQL design. The successful candidate will also contribute to growing internal knowledge base of dbt macros, conventions, and testing frameworks.

Furthermore, the Data Engineer will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver clean, validated datasets. They will also write well-documented, maintainable code using Git for version control and CI/CD processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in:
  • Building scalable, high-performance data transformation pipelines using dbt on Snowflake.
  • Designing and implementing data modeling and transformation logic to support layered architecture.
  • Leveraging orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt Cloud, or Azure Data Factory) to schedule and monitor data workflows.
  • Performing performance optimizations in dbt/Snowflake through clustering, query profiling, materialization, partitioning, and efficient SQL design.
  • Applying dbt best practices: modular SQL development, testing, documentation, and version control.
  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver clean, validated datasets.
