Job Summary

Vice President of Infrastructure Management

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Vice President of Infrastructure Management to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's infrastructure strategy.

About the Role:
  • Create and implement infrastructure strategies that align with business objectives
  • Analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and develop strategies for improvement or leveraging these systems
  • Negotiate purchases of software, hardware, and other IT supplies as approved by management
  • Manage inventory of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies
  • Interact with senior management/peers on matters requiring acceptance of alternate approaches
  • Lead outsourced teams for daily operations/activities
  • Provide solutions to complex business problems using in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
  • Perform live DR activities and periodic DR drills
  • Show working knowledge of server, storage, database, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network
  • Manage production incident response
  • Evaluate regulatory compliance requirements

Requirements:

We require the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management for both on-premise data centers and cloud infrastructures
  • Program and project management expertise
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of infrastructure such as servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and networks
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing

Functional Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess the following functional competencies:

  • Able to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and transformation strategies
  • Holistic understanding of all data center functions including production operations, change control, DR/business recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations
