Proposal Writer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Proposal Writer to join our team and contribute to the development of impactful proposals for US federal opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US government RFPs and excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills. They will be responsible for developing compliant, compelling, and well-structured proposals that meet solicitation requirements.

  • Review, interpret, and respond to federal RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and task orders.
  • Write and edit proposal content that is clear, persuasive, and compliant.
  • Collaborate with capture managers, business development, and technical experts to gather inputs.
  • Create and maintain compliance matrices and ensure all submissions meet solicitation requirements.
  • Manage the proposal development lifecycle, including reviews, deadlines, and final submission.
  • Maintain a library of past performance, resumes, and reusable proposal content.
  • Proofread, format, and standardize documents for consistency and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience writing proposals for US federal government contracts.
  • A strong understanding of the federal acquisition process (FAR/DFAR).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • US citizenship or work authorization required.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with APMP certification or Shipley methodology training is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with proposal tools such as Loopio or RFPIO can be beneficial.
