Procurement Specialist

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and procurement of spare parts, consumables, and technical equipment for vessels.
  • Evaluating and negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and high-quality products.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and service providers.

Key Order Processing Tasks:

  • Efficiently processing purchase requisitions from vessels and fleet management teams.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely order placement, tracking, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinating with logistics and supply chain teams to arrange delivery of goods to vessels at ports worldwide.

Budget Management and Cost Control:

  • Supporting the monitoring and control of procurement budgets.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or safety.
  • Reviewing and verifying supplier invoices and ensuring accurate documentation for payment processing.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensuring all procurement activities comply with maritime regulations and classification society requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor agreements.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of vessel maintenance and dry-docking requirements.
  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations.
  • Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software.
  • Experience in international logistics and customs clearance for marine spares.
