We are seeking a seasoned testing professional to join our team as a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Specialist. As part of this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead automation efforts to achieve maximum coverage.
  • Develop automation frameworks using programming languages such as Java(Selenium) and automate big data workflows.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting issues within the big data ecosystem.
  • Set up Big Data platforms and Hadoop ecosystems for testing.
  • Define test strategies and write test plans for data platform enhancements and new features/services.
  • Define operating procedures, service monitors, and alerts, and work with NOC teams to implement them.
  • Responsible for system and performance testing of data platforms and applications.
  • Solve complex problems, establish plans, and provide technical consultation in engineering projects.
  • Review product specifications and write test cases, develop test plans for assigned areas.
  • Identify issues and technical interdependencies and suggest possible solutions.
  • Test big data ingestion and aggregation flows using Spark Shell and related queries.
  • Perform end-to-end workflow automation using frameworks.
  • Contribute to Test Automation Development/Enhancement.
  • Recreate complex customer-reported issues to determine root causes and verify fixes.
  • Prioritize manual efforts and have the capability to automate them.
  • Lead teams of automation engineers to guide them and achieve end-to-end API, UI, and backend automation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of full-time testing experience, with at least 4-6 years in hands-on automation roles as lead.
  • Hands-on experience with Java and Selenium.
  • Experience building and designing automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience in automating backend applications (e.g., databases, REST APIs).
  • Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines for automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Good debugging skills.
  • Working experience in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Elastic is a plus.
  • Security domain experience is advantageous.
