Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned Loss Control and Risk Engineering Specialist to lead our team of risk engineers in Mumbai. This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional to drive growth and profitability by mitigating risks and improving underwriting practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of qualified field risk engineers, conducting risk surveys, and evaluating Nat Cat Exposure using various tools. They will also work closely with the IT team to develop system requirements and maintain in-house developed apps and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading Property Risk Engineering and Loss Control Team for Liberty India.
  • Plan, arrange, coordinate and conduct risk surveys as per Risk Survey Guidelines.
  • Evaluating the risk on for Nat Cat Exposure using various tools.
  • Maintaining in-house developed App and digital platforms.
  • Working closely with other location risk engineers and to ensure consistent Risk Engineering approach and Philosophy across all locations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10/12 years of practical risk engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with risk analysis, loss estimation, and risk rating methods.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FIII, CFPS by NFPA or other similar certificates by national or international bodies.
  • Licensed Thermographers are preferred.
  • Masters or specialized course in area of insurance/risk management/loss control/loss minimization are preferred.

Experience in team management and training/mentoring early in career underwriters and risk engineers is highly desirable. A strong understanding of innovation and its application in risk engineering is also essential. Travel may be required up to 60% of the time.
