Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced WAN Support Engineer to join our team on a critical engagement. The successful candidate will possess strong network troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience in BGP, and a proven background in WAN operations preferably from a Telecom or ISP environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and Maintain WAN Networks: Manage WAN networks across global sites in a 24/7 rotational shift model.
  • Troubleshoot Incidents: Handle L2 escalations and troubleshoot incidents related to routing, switching, and WAN link issues.
  • Configure and Maintain BGP Routing: Configure and maintain BGP routing and manage changes, updates, and problem resolutions.
  • Collaborate with Vendors: Collaborate with telecom vendors and ISPs for link provisioning, troubleshooting, and escalations.
  • Maintain Documentation: Maintain documentation for shift handovers, ticket logs, and RCA reports.
  • Ensure Network Uptime: Ensure high network uptime and adherence to SLA targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with ITIL Processes: Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Experience with MPLS, OSPF, QoS: Experience with MPLS, OSPF, and QoS.
  • Exposure to Enterprise Monitoring Tools: Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
  • Ability to Create Network Diagrams: Ability to create and update network diagrams and SOPs.
