Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Solutions Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing database solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database systems that ensure maximum availability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of database design, architecture, and setup.
  • Establish procedures for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
  • Administer databases to achieve optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Design and implement sharding and indexing strategies for databases.
  • Configure and monitor replica sets.
  • Perform patch upgrades.
  • Design and build operational infrastructure to support databases, automating where possible.
  • Establish database security procedures.
  • Create users, assign roles, and manage permissions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and standards.
  • Provide support to the user community using incident problem management tools.

Requirements:

  • 8-12 years of experience in database administration.
  • Strong understanding of database design, architecture, and setup.
  • Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Ability to administer databases to achieve optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of sharding and indexing strategies for databases.
  • Experience with replica sets and patch upgrades.
  • Ability to design and build operational infrastructure to support databases.
  • Experience with database security procedures.
  • Ability to create users, assign roles, and manage permissions.
  • Current knowledge of industry trends and standards.
