Senior Database Developer

About the Position:

We seek an experienced database professional to design, develop and maintain complex database solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Database Solutions: Design, develop and maintain PL/pgSQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages and cursors to meet business requirements.
  • Optimize Database Performance: Write, analyze and optimize complex SQL queries including joins, sub-queries and merge operations to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Data Analysis and Management: Perform data analysis, query tuning and indexing for performance optimization in PostgreSQL ensuring best practices for database performance, security and reliability.
  • Automation and Scripting: Automate and manage data loads using scripting methods collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions align with business requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions meet business needs communicating effectively to ensure successful project outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Primary Skills: PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, strong DB knowledge.
  • Secondary Skills: Shell scripting and Linux.
  • Hands-on development experience in PL/pgSQL stored procedures, triggers, cursors, functions and packages.
  • Strong understanding of SQL query design, optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL indexing and performance tuning.
  • Exposure to data load automation tools.
