Senior Fundraising Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fundraising Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing direct dialogue fundraising plans, meeting targets set for various fundraising avenues, and providing leadership to the outreach team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement direct dialogue fundraising plans and meet targets set for various fundraising avenues.
  • Conceptualize events and identify opportunities for fundraising resources.
  • Develop a calendar of fundraising activities for the assigned city.
  • Provide direction and leadership to the outreach team.
  • Assist outreach officers in preparing proposals, presentations, and meetings.
  • Work with the communication team to incorporate marketing and branding into the process.
  • Monitor and report back on fundraising results, allocated expense budget, and agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Regularly monitor the external environment and developments on the field, and report back to the line manager.
  • Ensure agreed operational processes and protocols are followed in the assigned city.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience in fundraising, resource mobilization, and corporate sales.
  • Ability to understand nuances of communication with respect to corporate and how to position the organization.
  • Experience in handling a team size of about 10 people in the age group of 22-30.
  • Ability to understand Greenpeace campaign issues and translate them into fundraising opportunities.
  • Good writing and speaking English skills, with knowledge of local languages beneficial.
  • Basic computer skills and experience in managing and analyzing data.

  • Supervise admin staff in the office and ensure all administrative duties are completed as per policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure low attrition of staff by appropriate staff selection, motivation, rewards, and recognition.

Decision-Making Authority:

  • Appointment and separation of recruiters and team leaders.
  • Deployment of staff across locations and fundraising strands in the city.
  • Sign off on companies or venues with which we can work or may choose not to work due to disagreement on values or other reasons.
