Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and strategic CSR Fundraising Manager to lead Sahamati's efforts in securing CSR and philanthropic funding. This individual will build and maintain donor relationships, drive fundraising strategy, and co-develop impactful field programs in collaboration with grassroots partners. The ideal candidate brings both creativity and rigor to proposal writing, is confident managing stakeholders, and is deeply motivated by social impact at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fundraising & Proposal Development
  • Lead development of compelling CSR and philanthropic proposals aligned with donor interests and Sahamati's mission.
  • Customize proposals for corporate CSR mandates, foundations, philanthropists and HNIs.
    • Donor Management & Stewardship
    • Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors across the corporate and philanthropic ecosystem.
    • Manage reporting cycles with accurate, timely documentation of program outcomes and financials.
    • Act as the primary liaison for donor communications, including site visits, updates, and events.
      • Strategic Partnership Development
      • Identify and pursue strategic CSR collaboration opportunities with companies and trusts.
      • Forge partnerships with implementation NGOs to design and deliver on-ground programs aligned with Sahamati's goals.
        • Cross-Functional Coordination
        • Collaborate with internal teams — including finance, technology, program, and M&E — to ensure project alignment, delivery, and impact tracking.
        • Ensure all fundraising and partnership activities are tracked and integrated with Sahamati's overall mission.
          • Compliance & Risk Management
          • Stay abreast of India's CSR regulations under the Companies Act and ensure Sahamati's full compliance in all fundraising efforts.
          • Develop and maintain audit-ready documentation and donor-aligned financial tracking systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Development Studies, or related fields. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in CSR fundraising, donor engagement, proposal development, or partnerships in the development/nonprofit sector.
  • Deep understanding of CSR norms, funding trends, and reporting requirements in India.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with experience managing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, lead initiatives, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, impact-driven environment.
  • Passion for financial empowerment and digital innovation.
