Pricing Analytics Specialist

The Pricing Analytics team supports pricing managers and merchants in developing and refining pricing strategies for various product categories across multiple channels. The team utilizes advanced analytics to forecast and evaluate the impact of pricing decisions, create strategic price zones, recommend price adjustments, and identify sales and margin opportunities to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate pricing strategy and business goals into analytical requirements.
  • Develop and implement processes for collecting, processing, structuring, enhancing, and cleaning large datasets from both internal and external sources.
  • Conduct data validation, detect anomalies, and perform root cause analysis to prepare data for statistical and machine learning models.
  • Research, design, and implement relevant statistical and machine learning models to address specific business challenges.
  • Ensure the accuracy of model results and establish trust in their reliability.
  • Apply machine learning model outcomes to relevant business use cases.
  • Educate the pricing team on effectively interpreting and utilizing machine learning model results.
  • Assist in designing and executing A/B tests, multivariate experiments, and randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to assess the effects of price changes.
  • Perform advanced statistical analyses (e.g., causal inference, Bayesian analysis, regression modeling) to extract actionable insights from experimentation data.
  • Lead and manage analytics projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Explore and implement new analytical techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with teams such as Pricing Strategy & Execution, Analytics COE, Merchandising, IT, and others to define, prioritize, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Promote forward-thinking practices and holistic solutions, adopt new tools and techniques, and identify opportunities for enhancing analytical solutions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, statistics, and experimentation techniques.
  • Lead and mentor junior analysts, fostering skill development and growth within the team.
Requirements:

6-12 years of experience in advanced quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering/business analytics/Data Science/Statistics/economics/math. Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS, and experience working with enterprise-grade data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau. Technical expertise in Alteryx and Knime is a plus.
