Reliable Systems Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled System Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems.

As an SRE, you will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to build and maintain highly available services, automate operational tasks, and monitor system health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable and reliable infrastructure for production systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Automate repetitive operational tasks, deployments, and monitoring to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to build reliable and efficient services that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain tools for system monitoring, alerting, and incident response to ensure prompt issue resolution.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and manage incident response to minimize downtime and restore system availability.
  • Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks or failure points, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Advocate for reliability, availability, and performance best practices throughout the engineering teams.
  • Document processes, architecture, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve system maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in System Reliability Engineering with expertise in tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform to ensure smooth deployment and management of applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals to ensure secure and reliable system operation.
  • Proficiency with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or Ruby to develop custom tools and scripts.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure to leverage scalable infrastructure and improve system performance.
