Job Title: Buying Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced buying manager to lead our Sports Accessories team.

  1. Manage the end-to-end buying process for sports accessories, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  2. Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and optimize product offerings.
  3. Identify emerging trends and capitalize on market opportunities to stay ahead of the competition.
  4. Negotiate with vendors to maintain strong supplier relationships and secure favorable terms.
  5. Analyze market data and sales performance to inform strategic decisions and drive business growth.
  6. Collaborate with design teams to develop innovative products that meet customer needs and preferences.
  7. Manage inventory levels and forecast demand to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
  8. Ensure product quality and regulatory compliance through rigorous testing and certification processes.
  9. Conduct competitor analysis and market research to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  10. Lead and mentor the buying and merchandising team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • NIFT graduate or postgraduate degree in fashion management or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the sports/activewear industry, with a proven track record in accessories buying and merchandising.
  • Strong understanding of domestic and import supplier base, with ability to negotiate favorable terms.
  • Keen eye for trends and excellent analytical skills to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities to maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant buying/planning software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to lead and mentor the team.
