Shooting Coach and Training Program Developer

Location: A leading international school in Faridabad

Position Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

To establish a high-performance shooting program that fosters excellence, discipline, and skill development among students. The ideal candidate will design and deliver age-appropriate training sessions, nurture talent for competitive levels, and ensure safety, technique, and holistic development through the sport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coaching & Training
    • Create and execute customized training plans for beginners, intermediate, and advanced shooters.
    • Foster technical, tactical, and mental skills required in shooting sports.
    • Identify and develop student talent for district, state, national, and international competitions.
    • Provide personalized guidance to enhance performance and confidence.
  • Program Development & Leadership
    • Develop a structured shooting curriculum aligned with the school's sports vision.
    • Promote shooting as a focus area for discipline, concentration, and physical fitness.
    • Collaborate with the Head of Sports and management for event participation and talent promotion.
    • Ensure inclusivity by encouraging recreational and competitive participation.
  • Safety & Facility Management
    • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols at all times.
    • Oversee the maintenance of the shooting range, equipment, and accessories.
    • Monitor equipment usage, servicing, and inventory records.
    • Train students in responsible equipment use and care.
  • Assessment & Reporting
    • Track and evaluate student progress and performance.
    • Share feedback and progress reports with students, parents, and school leadership.
    • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, performance outcomes, and competition results.
  • Events & Competitions
    • Prepare students for intra-school, inter-school, and external shooting competitions.
    • Organize shooting events, demonstrations, and awareness programs at the school.
    • Bolster pathways for students aspiring to pursue shooting professionally.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay updated on the latest techniques, technologies, and regulations in shooting sports.
    • Nurture partnerships with federations, academies, and sports bodies to expand opportunities for students.
    • Enhance coaching methods and strategies through continuous training and certifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or equivalent (desired).
  • Certified Shooting Coach (National Rifle Association of India or equivalent certification mandatory).
  • Additional certifications in sports psychology or fitness training (recommended).

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Shooting Coach, with a proven track record of coaching at school, academy, or competitive levels.
  • Experience training students for district/state/national-level competitions.
  • Prior experience in an international or progressive school setting is advantageous.
