Job Title: Merchandise Development Professional
Role Description:
The production merchandiser plays a crucial role in managing product development, merchandise management, sourcing, supplier relationship building, and logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Product Development: Manage product development from material sourcing to supplier negotiations and timely production as per design specifications.
• Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors for raw materials, trims, accessories, job workers, and garment manufacturers.
• Costing and Negotiation: Monitor and evaluate product performance, negotiate with suppliers and vendors on costing and pricing, and find alternative solutions without compromising on quality and timelines.
• Dispatch and Payments: Coordinate with courier partners, manage invoices and payments across all vendors, and work closely with the Finance team.
• Quality Control: Implement and enforce robust quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards and specifications.
Requirements:
• 4-5 years of experience in product development, buying, merchandise management, and production.
• Excellent knowledge of fabrics, trims, and accessories and factory supplier base.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
