Job Title

A Program Lead for Literacy Programs is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing high-quality reading and literature programs.

About the Role

This role drives excellence in literacy instruction, fostering a deep appreciation for reading and critical analysis of texts across all relevant age groups or academic levels. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, data analysis and decision-making skills, excellent presentation and professional development facilitation skills, proficiency in educational technology and its application in literacy instruction, ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, and strong organisational and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop, implement, and oversee high-quality reading and literature programs.
  2. Drive literacy instruction and foster a deep appreciation for reading and critical analysis of texts.
  3. Collaborate with teachers across the school to achieve shared goals.
  4. Engage students effectively and implement parent and community initiatives and engagements.
  5. Manage documentation and communication systems and monitor and evaluate the program on a real-time basis.
  6. Generate reports and analyze data to inform decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in English (Desirable: Post-graduation in language and literature).
  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in teaching reading and literature at K-12.
