Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our demand planning and supply chain analytics functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, business acumen, and excellent communication abilities.

The Planning Manager will be responsible for driving the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, ensuring alignment of demand forecasts with supply and inventory plans. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and drive business growth through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demand Planning: Lead and manage the monthly S&OP cycle, including demand review, supply review, pre-S&OP meetings, and executive S&OP meetings.
  • Supply Chain Analytics: Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of demand forecasts with supply and inventory plans.
  • Gap Identification and Resolution: Identify demand-supply gaps and drive resolution through scenario planning and cross-functional alignment.
  • Forecast Development and Updates: Develop consensus forecast and ensure timely updates in planning systems.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Data Analysis: Perform data-driven analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in sales, inventory, and supply performance.
  • What-If Analysis: Develop what-if and sensitivity analysis for business decisions.
  • Reporting and Dashboards: Automate reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for leadership visibility.
Planning & Coordination
  • Supply and Inventory Planning: Manage supply and inventory planning to balance cost, service level, and working capital objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with purchase, production, and distribution teams to ensure timely execution of the plan.
  • Risk Management: Highlight risks in supply chain (capacity constraints, long lead time SKUs, vendor issues) and propose mitigation actions.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics, or related field (preferred).
  • Professional Experience: 4-5 years of experience in S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, preferably in FMCG, Food, or Manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills: Exposure to ERP (Microsoft Dynamics NAV / SAP / Oracle) and BI/reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree: In Industrial Engineering/Supply Chain/Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret large data sets and generate business insights.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Collaboration effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of S&OP processes: Inventory management principles, and demand forecasting methodologies.
