Operations Director - Warehouse Management

The role of Operations Director is crucial in overseeing warehouse operations for the Western Region.

  • Regional Leadership: Manage warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to policies, compliance, and safety standards.
  • Profitability Management: Full ownership of regional warehouse profitability, including budgeting, cost control, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Operational Efficiency: Drive improvement in inbound, storage, inventory management, order processing, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
  • Solution Design & Process Improvement: Develop and implement customized operational solutions for customers, optimize layouts, manpower planning, and material handling systems.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Build strong relationships with key customers; ensure SLAs and KPIs are consistently met.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate the operations team to deliver high performance and service excellence.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, health & safety standards, and internal audit guidelines.
  • Technology Implementation: Implement WMS and other digital solutions to drive efficiency and visibility in operations.

Key Qualifications:

  • 10–15 years of experience in warehouse operations & logistics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in P&L management, operations design, and customer solutioning.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehousing processes, local compliances, and labor regulations in Maharashtra (Bhiwandi region preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record of handling large-scale warehouses / multi-client facilities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
