Fugro is a global leader in Geo-data acquisition and processing. We provide our clients with invaluable insights to design, build, and operate their assets more safely, sustainably, and efficiently. We are seeking a skilled Surveyor to join our team and contribute to our pioneering spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test and prepare survey equipment prior to mobilization.
  2. Set up, configure, and calibrate surveying equipment before data acquisition.
  3. Operate and troubleshoot survey equipment in the field.
  4. Acquire data as per scope, specification, and schedule briefed by the project coordinator or project manager.
  5. Backup and retain all data logged in the field.
  6. Follow safety rules and safe work practices in the field.
  7. Participate actively in tool-box meetings and HSE activities.
  8. Prepare mobilization and demobilization reports, handing over all logged data to the survey manager upon demobilization.
  9. Process survey data, charts, and reports as directed by the survey manager or project manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in offshore surveys.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Geology, or a related field with an aggregate of 55% or higher.
  • Alternatively, ex-Navy personnel with a minimum of 15 years of service in the Naval Hydrographic Department or a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Good communication skills in English and strong interpersonal skills.

HSE Responsibilities:

Ensure the safety of yourself and others at the site. Prevent damage to equipment and assets. Follow all safety signs, procedures, and safe working practices. Use appropriate personal protective equipment. Participate in mock drills. Refuse to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Fill up hazard observation cards. Maintain safe housekeeping of your workspace. Stop any operation deemed unsafe. Operate the fire extinguisher in case of a fire. Report incidents to your supervisor and HSE manager. Complete HSE training as instructed.
