Job Title: Geo-Data Specialist

Job Summary:

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Geo-Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for conducting technical jobs, calibrating and mobilizing equipment, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical jobs, including calibrations and mobilization of equipment
  • Maintain the smooth functioning of all equipment and troubleshoot issues
  • Prepare daily reports and submit complete reports after job completion
  • Identify and trace incoming faulty equipment, inspect, repair, and identify equipment status
  • Prepare job preparation and testing of equipment prior to mobilization
  • Calibrate, install, operate, and maintain equipment deployed in the field
  • Operate and troubleshoot equipment deployed in the field
  • Acquire data as per scope, specification, and schedule briefed by PC/PM
  • Ensure safe working environment at site and participate in Operations, Quality Assurance, and HSE group meetings
  • Archive, backup, and custody of all data logged in the field
  • Prepare mobilization and demobilization reports and hand over to FSINPVT Survey Manager on demob
  • Prepare survey procedures and reports while in office as directed by RM/SM
  • Perform any other work assigned by the Company

Requirements:

  • Graduate or Diploma in Engineering or Equivalent course or Indian Navy
  • Preferably 2 years' experience in offshore surveys
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment and software in use
  • High degree of technical reporting skills in English language

HSE Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets. Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/safe working practices. Responsible for using appropriate PPE's. Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his work place. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe. To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire. To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager. To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
