Job Summary

As a Lead Offshore Structural Engineer at Black & Veatch, you will play a key role in developing and applying advanced engineering techniques to complex offshore projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing technical guidance and direction to team members, ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Standards: Develop and maintain engineering standards, provide technical guidance to team members, and ensure compliance with Black & Veatch policies.
  • Quality / Continuous Improvement: Apply knowledge and comply with Black & Veatch quality program, ensure compliance with quality program, and provide guidance to team members.
  • Engineering Production: Prepare complex engineering deliverables, perform research and develop recommendations, oversee data collection and management, and manage budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external team members on moderately complex projects.
  • Client Focus: Assist in identifying key client interests and drivers, communicate client interests to project team members, and develop approaches to accommodate client concerns.
  • Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology: Serve as a technical specialist, provide consultation and guidance to project teams, and develop and apply advanced engineering concepts.
  • People Management: Assist with performance management, mentoring, recognition, and corrective actions.
  • Resource Management: Implement resource management strategy and manage engineering resources for small groups.
  • Administrative: Perform administrative responsibilities, ensure policies and procedures are implemented and communicated, and ensure adherence to corporate and division programs.
Preferred Qualifications

Total years of experience: 15+ Years

Experience in Offshore projects is mandatory.

Experience in FLNG projects is an added advantage.

Experience in design of FPSO/ FLNG topside Modules /Piperacks using SACS software.

Proficient in carrying out Inplace analysis, transportation analysis, lift analysis, loadout analysis independently without supervision.

Experience in connection design for modular structures is required.

Design experience in fatigue analysis and non linear blast analysis is desirable.

Experience in FEM analysis software like FEMap, Ansys is an added advantage.

Engineer should support structural MTO and Weight control input.
