About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned MarkLogic expert to spearhead advanced development projects.

This position requires in-depth knowledge of MarkLogic and related technologies to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale applications.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in XQuery, Optic Query, Semantic Technologies, and REST APIs, with experience working in agile environments.

This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to mission-critical financial systems, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and seamless integration with cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of MarkLogic-based solutions, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Implement advanced querying using XQuery, Optic Query, and Semantic Technologies.
  • Hands-on development using MarkLogic DataHub framework and Apache NiFi.
  • Architect, build, and manage REST APIs and integrations with external systems.
  • Collaborate with agile teams to design CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployments.
  • Work with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) for hosting and managing enterprise-scale MarkLogic solutions.
  • Apply best practices in performance optimization, security, and data modeling.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, provide mentorship, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues related to MarkLogic applications.
  • Stay updated with emerging MarkLogic and NoSQL trends to continuously enhance solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years total experience, with 5+ years in MarkLogic development.
  • Strong expertise in MarkLogic, XQuery, Optic Query, and Semantic Technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with DataHub framework and Apache NiFi.
  • Strong experience in designing and developing REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) for application deployment.
  • Working knowledge of Git, Gradle, IDEs, and CI/CD processes.
  • Exposure to DevOps methodologies and experience in agile teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
