As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in articulating the Datadog value proposition to customers, partners, and stakeholders. Your technical expertise will help qualify and close complex opportunities, while your ability to communicate effectively will ensure seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the sales team to develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical briefings.
  • Own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase, providing expert guidance on Datadog's value proposition and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Close complex opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
  • Maintain accurate notes and feedback in CRM regarding customer input, both wins and losses.
  • Proactively engage with customers and Datadog business/technical teams regarding product feedback and competitive landscape.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about educating customers on observability risks and able to build and execute an evaluation plan with a customer.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to understand and articulate both business benefits and technical advantages of Datadog's offering.
  • Experience in programming/scripting with languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, and .NET.
  • Minimum 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
  • Able to sit up to 4 hours, traveling to and from client sites.
  • Able to travel via auto, train, or air up to 45% of the time.
