Job Role: Network Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing top-level support for network-related issues, ensuring seamless connectivity and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first- and second-level support for network-related issues, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless security, and DNS/DHCP
  • Implement and troubleshoot remote access solutions, such as IPSEC VPN
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve customer issues
  • Utilize command-line interfaces to manage computer equipment
  • Respond to and resolve alerts and tickets generated from monitoring systems and customer requests in a timely manner
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education/training
  • 3-5 years of experience as a network engineer, including phone, remote support, and hands-on experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Experience installing/configuring routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls (Cisco, Sophos, Palo Alto)
