Plant Operations Director

Our manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled Plant Operations Director to oversee the daily operations of our spirits production plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all plant activities, including manufacturing, engineering, quality control, safety and environment, logistics, procurement, and finance.
  • Ensure uninterrupted and efficient production of distilled beverages and warehousing activities.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and manage budgets, select equipment, control costs, and commission plants.
  • Drive production and sales targets as per the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Formulate and implement strategies to meet annual business objectives.

Process Optimization:

  • Enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures for safety, quality, and security of workforce and machinery.
  • Optimize resource utilization across departments.

Quality & Maintenance:

  • Maintain in-process quality control and ensure continuous process improvements.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.

Vendor & Compliance Management:

  • Identify and develop vendors; manage supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, including country/state excise laws and statutory authorities.

Projects & Capex:

  • Lead new capital expenditure projects and expansion initiatives.

Team Leadership & HR:

  • Build and lead high-performing teams aligned with company goals.
  • Manage industrial relations, labor issues, recruitment, orientation, and training.

Government Liaison:

  • Maintain smooth relations with government departments and facilitate liaisoning for seamless plant operations.
