Senior Fund Accounting Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, with expertise in private equity or fund administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and control the general ledger and various sub-ledgers.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, footnotes, and partner capital statements.
  • Prepare trial balances and work paper products with high accuracy.
  • Process both standard and complex bookkeeping entries and manage a full cycle of transaction activities.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare detailed financial data analysis to support decision-making.
  • Be involved in calculating carried interest, performance, and incentive fees.
  • Process payments and other transactions efficiently.

Stakeholder & Project Management

  • Act as a day-to-day contact for on-shore stakeholders.
  • Participate in the implementation of new fund structures into the accounting system.
  • Proactively identify and escalate any material issues that affect service delivery to the Supervisor.
  • Contribute to special projects related to the expansion and evolution of the business.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an ACCA equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in accounting within the financial services sector.
  • Experience in Limited Partnership accounting is essential.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is required.
  • Strong experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Established knowledge of accounting and consolidations under IFRS.
  • Strong operational experience with a focus on processes and controls.
