Job Title: Technical Support Specialist - Tandem Systems and Database Technologies.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Support Analyst with hands-on experience in Tandem systems, Linux, Windows, and various database technologies including SQL, Sybase, Oracle, and others. The ideal candidate will provide production and application support during business hours ensuring system stability, performance, and timely issue resolution.

The role requires strong analytical skills to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions. A solid understanding of ITIL processes and ticketing tools is also essential.

Key responsibilities include providing L2/L3 support for applications and systems running on Tandem, Linux, and Windows platforms, monitoring and troubleshooting issues across multiple database environments, performing routine maintenance patching and upgrades, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and implement fixes.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Tandem HP NonStop systems
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows server environments
  • Solid understanding of SQL and experience with Sybase, Oracle, and other relational databases
  • Experience in production support, incident management, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools e.g., ServiceNow, Jira

Preferred qualifications include experience in financial services or mission-critical environments, knowledge of scripting - Shell, Python, or PowerShell for automation, and exposure to cloud platforms - AWS, Azure.
