Job Description:

  • Process all guest arrivals by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys.
  • Handle various payment types including room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit cards.
  • Manage all check-outs, resolve any late or disputed charges, and ensure accurate reports.
  • Answer and record all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track the readiness of rooms for occupancy.
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed.
  • Supply guests with directions and information regarding the property and local areas of interest.
  • Run daily reports on arrivals and departures, identify special requests, and verify report accuracy.
  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system accurately and efficiently.
  • Cash personal checks and traveler's checks according to company policies.
  • Count bank funds at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety and security protocols and reporting incidents to management.
  • Promote a positive work environment by maintaining confidentiality, protecting company assets, and adhering to quality assurance expectations.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests professionally, anticipate their needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation for their custom.
  • Utilize clear and professional communication skills when interacting with colleagues and answering telephones.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Meet quality assurance standards and adapt to changing situations efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education preferred but not required.
  • No prior experience necessary, training provided.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn software applications quickly.
