Key Purpose of the Role:

The Assistant Manager Plantation is responsible for overseeing farm operations from start to finish. This involves preparing land, procuring agricultural inputs, planning seed purchases in line with the plantation strategy, and daily monitoring of crop health.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining visibility on production plans, proactively addressing challenges on the ground, and aligning farm activities to achieve targeted yield and quality outcomes.

Agriculture graduates can apply for this field-based position, which requires working closely with laborers. The successful candidate will be willing to get hands-on experience, which will contribute significantly to their personal and professional growth.

  • Land Validation: Developing a Land-specific Package of Practices for Energy Crop Farming
  • Planning and Organizing: Developing and implementing planting, cultivation, and harvesting plans
  • Resource Management: Overseeing the efficient use of resources, including land, labor, machinery, and finances
  • Quality Control: Ensuring high-quality crops and products through adherence to standards and best practices
  • Yield Optimization: Implementing strategies to improve crop yields and overall productivity
  • Labor Management: Developing and maintaining an efficient workforce, including recruitment, training, and supervision
  • Sustainability and Compliance:
  • Sustainable Practices: Implementing and maintaining sustainable agricultural practices, including environmental stewardship and social responsibility
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Communication and Leadership:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery
