Job Summary:

As a Senior Economist, you will be responsible for expanding our country coverage and collaborating with the team to initiate new initiatives in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cover existing countries along with respective country economists.
  2. Help the team initiate coverage in new countries within the region.

Requirements:

  • Macro research, country coverage or economics experience is highly desirable.
  • Interest in global financial markets and knowledge of recent developments.
  • Sound understanding of economic concepts and statistical skills with experience working with large amounts of data.
  • Advanced Excel skills and good econometrics understanding are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to write research reports and comment on market developments.
  • Knowledge of database tools – Bloomberg, Macrobond, Haver, World Bank, IMF etc.

Education and Experience:

Undergraduate or advanced degree in economics/statistics with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Progress towards CFA / FRM qualification is a plus.
