Job Overview

This role is ideal for a skilled professional with expertise in corporate actions and settlements. The position involves performing various tasks related to account opening, testing, regulatory audits, process risks, timeliness, accuracy, and responsiveness.

  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Perform end-to-end testing for various systems of Securities Financial Services (SFS).
  • Handle various regulatory audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Manage process risks to minimize potential issues.
  • Timely completion of corporate announcements and settlements within the agreed service level requirements.
  • Achieve high accuracy standards in all tasks.
  • Maintain awareness of the latest SEBI / RBI regulations governing custody services.
  • Respond promptly to client queries within 24 hours or provide interim replies followed by detailed responses within 3 days.
  • Escalate any critical audit findings or issues to higher authorities.
  • Participate in staff surveys, attend training sessions, and cross-train in other areas of work to become a well-rounded employee.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as a checker for the section to ensure quality control.
  • Prepare regulatory reporting for various regulators.
  • Prepare management reports and other documentation.
  • Cover staff members during their leave periods.
  • Assist in system development and enhancements.
  • Evaluate problem cases and escalate them when necessary.
  • Attend meetings related to work scope and objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in corporate actions and settlements.

Education and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree from an accredited institution.

Core Competencies:

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ownership of results and problem-solving abilities.

Technical Competencies:

  • Knowledge of securities markets and related regulations.
  • Familiarity with SWIFT and depository modules of NSDL and CDSL (DPM).

Work Relationships:

  • Superior(s): Direct Supervisor.
  • Subordinate(s): Team Members in Custody Operations.
  • Peers: IT Support, Operations Team, T&M, Marketing, Finance & Controls.
  • External Parties: Brokers, Other Custodian Banks, Depository, Exchange, Merchant Bankers and Local Authorities.
