Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Lending Team LeadAre you a seasoned leader with expertise in commercial real estate lending? Do you have experience leading high-performing teams and working with international clients?We are seeking an exceptional Team Leader to oversee a team of analysts supporting our Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, ensuring delivery excellence, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor analysts processing CRE loan applications, credit documentation, and portfolio management.
  • Ensure delivery in line with SLAs/KPIs with a 98%+ right-first-time documentation accuracy.
  • Track, review, and report team performance; conduct regular feedback and coaching.
Operational Excellence:
  • Enforce adherence to lending policy, standards, and criteria.
  • Review and approve credit papers/documentation prior to submission.
  • Support the use of front-end systems to monitor loan applications through approval.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as the single point of contact for client stakeholders.
  • Manage escalations, provide operational updates, and lead process alignment discussions.
  • Facilitate transparent, regular communication between teams.
Compliance & Risk:
  • Oversee collaboration with KYC and Financial Crime teams.
  • Ensure compliance with UK banking regulations and client-specific policies.
Process Improvement & Reporting:
  • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and insights for leadership.
Candidate Profile:Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or financial services.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and working with international clients.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of CRE lending, credit documentation, and compliance.
  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient in banking systems, reporting, and MS Office tools.
