Steel Fixer Job Opportunity

Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Steel Fixers to work in Dubai. As a Steel Fixer, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering and architectural drawings to determine rebar placement, identify potential safety hazards, and plan the installation of reinforcement materials.

  • Fabricate, cut, and bend rebar using tools such as rebar cutters, benders, and grinders, while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols.

  • Position and secure reinforcement using wire ties, spacers, and other supports, taking care to ensure correct spacing and alignment to meet structural requirements.

  • Collaborate with concrete workers to ensure proper reinforcement placement before and during concrete pouring, fostering effective communication and teamwork.

  • Operate machinery and hand tools such as hydraulic benders, angle grinders, and power saws, maintaining equipment and reporting any issues or malfunctions.

  • Handle and transport heavy materials safely and efficiently, adhering to lifting techniques and load management principles.

  • Comply with workplace safety standards, including wearing PPE (helmets, gloves, harnesses), adhering to company policies, and participating in regular safety training sessions.

  • Prepare work areas and ensure proper cleanup and storage of tools after installation, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

  • Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings, analyze complex data, and make informed decisions.
  • Experience as a Steel Fixer for at least 6 months, with a proven track record of safe working practices and high-quality output.
  • Basic English proficiency, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid work visa, with all necessary documentation up to date.
