Telecom Order Management Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Telecom Order Management Specialist. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire order management lifecycle, from initial verification to completion and validation.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills are also essential, as the individual will need to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Verification: Conduct thorough verification of orders received, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Technical Site Validation: Validate technical/site details to guarantee their accuracy and up-to-date status.
• Data Gathering and Order Verification: Gather relevant data from customers, including customer name, technical and site contacts, site readiness, products ordered, product intervals, and customer delivery date requirements.
• Review Order Status Communication Plan: Review the order status communication plan to ensure all stakeholders are informed of any changes or updates.
• Obtain CSR (Customer Service Record): Obtain the CSR for porting requests submitted through the client order to cash platform.
• Scrub & Validate CSR: Scrub and validate the CSR to confirm that numbers on the pre-order are located on the CSR.
• Reserve Telephone Numbers: Reserve the appropriate telephone numbers for the customer.
• Confirm Documentation and Customer Information: Confirm that all documentation and customer information provided by Sales, Solution Architect, Global Client Services, and the Customer is complete.
• Update and Complete Order Information: Update and complete order information to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date.
• Submit Order to Provisioning: Submit the order to provisioning for processing.
• Fallout / Exception Order Management: Track assigned orders, resolve order fallout tasks, and drive resolution of order rejections.
• Escalate to Supplier Organizations: Escalate to supplier organizations on orders requiring action.
• Coordinate Test and Install: Coordinate test and install activities with customers.
• Scheduling Activation: Schedule activation with customers.
• Perform Fallout Functions: Perform all order management fallout functions, generally tied to groups of orders for a single client or project.
• Provide Senior Level Support: Provide senior level support for escalated orders, high visibility clients, and high revenue orders.
• Manage and Resolve Fallout: Manage and resolve fallout in specialty areas such as circuit provisioning and network builds.
• Vendor Partner Oversight: Provide vendor partner oversight to ensure that all orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate CPE Delivery: Coordinate CPE (circuit provisioning) delivery and managed services activation (if applicable).
• Ensure Order Completion: Ensure order completion and validate order sent to billing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Any Degree or Postgraduate in any discipline: Relevant academic background and experience in a related field.
• Telecom Order Management experience mandatory: Proven track record of successful order management experience.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.): Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
