We're seeking a seasoned backend expert to spearhead our API and services design and development. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team of engineers in building efficient solutions while driving technical excellence.

  • Our ideal candidate will develop and maintain robust backend systems using Python and Django, adhering to industry standards.
  • The successful candidate will build and optimize RESTful APIs with exceptional performance and security features.
  • They will oversee seamless integrations with third-party services and internal tools.
  • Key responsibilities include implementing best practices for security, authentication, and data protection.
  • Enhancing system performance and scalability through continuous optimization is also a critical aspect of this role.
  • Maintaining cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is essential.
  • This position requires collaboration with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver innovative features.
  • Mentorship and coaching junior developers, conducting code reviews, and establishing technical guidelines are also key responsibilities.
  • Promoting adoption of CI/CD, automated testing, and software engineering best practices is crucial.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
  • 4+ years of backend development experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in Python and Django framework is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Thorough understanding of microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Proven cloud deployment experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.
