The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of hands-on experience, preferably with a CCNA certification, and the ability to manage shift operations and vendor interactions for our global WAN infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the global WAN operations to ensure consistent and high-performance network connectivity.
- Perform advanced network troubleshooting, focusing on routing protocols like BGP, to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Handle shift operations efficiently to maintain a 24/7 support model, ensuring seamless network performance and incident response.
- Act as the primary point of contact for WAN escalation, resolving high-priority issues with minimal downtime.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to manage and resolve connectivity issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Utilize network monitoring tools to identify potential issues proactively and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain detailed logs of incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures to aid in continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the team to optimize network operations and enhance troubleshooting techniques.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred).
- 5-7 years of experience in network troubleshooting and operations.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching, with specific experience in BGP routing protocol.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- CCNA certification is required.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
- Strong leadership skills for shift management and vendor coordination.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 support model, including night shifts and weekends as required.
