Agri Commodities Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Agri Commodities Specialist to join our team.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves monitoring market trends, executing trades, and developing relationships with clients.

  • Monitoring market trends and supply-demand dynamics.

  • Developing spread/arbitrage opportunities in domestic markets.
  • Negotiating contracts and prices for procurement and sale of commodities.
  • Analyzing weather patterns, crop reports, and global trade data to inform trading strategies.
  • Managing logistics, warehousing, and delivery schedules.
  • Mitigating risk using hedging strategies via commodity exchanges.
  • Ensuring compliance with trade regulations, quality standards, and documentation.
  • Providing inputs to procurement teams on price outlook and procurement planning.

Key requirements for this role include:

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, economics, business, or related field (MBA/PGDM preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of agricultural markets and commodities.
  • Understanding of trading platforms and exchanges.
  • Proficient in data analysis, market intelligence tools, and Excel.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure trading environments and quick decision-making.
