Financial Modeling Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled financial modeling expert to join our team. As a financial modeler, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing historical financial statements in MS-Excel.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and financial ratios to assess the financial performance of public and private companies.

You will also be required to identify key KPIs, emerging trends, relevant industry updates, competitive environment, associate risks, and relevant valuation metrics to provide an overview and conclude investment thesis on companies under coverage.

In addition, you will need to conduct extensive company valuations involving approaches such as DCF, DDM, trading and transaction multiples, and EVA.

Our team is looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can handle ad hoc research requests and support other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze historical financial statements in MS-Excel.
  • Conduct financial ratio analysis and identify key trends.
  • Develop and maintain financial models using Excel.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to stakeholders.
  • Support the research team with data analysis and modeling tasks.

Requirements:

  • CA/CFA certification (cleared all 3 levels) or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in financial modeling, LBO models, DCF/relative valuations.
  • Ability to identify and solve issues effectively and within deadlines.
  • Strong accounting, financial analysis skills, and English writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
