Quality Assurance Manager Role Overview

This position oversees the implementation and maintenance of a Quality Management System (QMS) within an operations environment.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the QMS to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
  • Lead quality audits (internal and external) and manage corrective actions.
  • Train staff on QMS requirements and quality procedures.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and laboratory accreditation processes.

A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry, Quality Management, or related field is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring management system implementation across various departments.
  • Conducting periodic quality checks through retest, inter-laboratory, intra-laboratory, and proficiency tests.
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies for compliance approval.
  • Reviewing and issuing quality management system documents.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and laboratory accreditation processes.
  • Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry, Quality Management, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or laboratory management, preferably within petroleum or chemical testing services.
