About the Position:

Our organization is seeking a professional to oversee research and identify funding opportunities. The selected candidate will collaborate with the team to conceptualize and develop well-structured proposals, thereby securing grant money for existing or new initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and analyze the objectives, growth, and financial requirements of our organization.
  • Research grant opportunities from various sources, including institutional grants, corporate social responsibility programs, government bodies, individual donors, etc.
  • Develop comprehensive grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding needs of the organization.
  • Submit proposals to the team for review and approval.
  • Respond to internal and external queries regarding drafted and submitted proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
  • Provide insights on effective communication strategies to reinforce the organization's reputation through social media platforms.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2-3 years prior experience as a proposal writer with a grant-seeking organization and history of submitting successful proposals.
  • Knowledge or deep interest in environmental conservation and sustainability.
  • Ability to grasp and convey the nuances of our organization's work.
  • Prior knowledge of fundraising sources for biodiversity and conservation communication is desirable.
  • Analytical thinker who can develop a structured proposal that effectively conveys program outcomes.
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and time-zones.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Self-driven and motivated.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, PPT, and Excel, etc.
