Maintenance Engineer Job Description

At the core of our operations is a team of skilled professionals who ensure the seamless functioning of our utility systems. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operation, maintenance, and reliability of these critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utility System Management: You will be responsible for managing the performance of various utility systems, including plant substations, DG sets, fire hydrant systems, compressors, cooling towers, lifting tackles, RO plants, and UPS systems. This involves ensuring optimal operation, conducting regular maintenance, and implementing corrective actions to prevent equipment failures.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: You will develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations without disrupting production schedules.
  • Shutdown & Upgrade Planning: In this role, you will plan and coordinate shutdowns and system upgrades to ensure minimal impact on production while maintaining safety and operational standards.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): When equipment failures occur, you will lead investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: You will diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Safety & Compliance: As a Maintenance Engineer, you will ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and operational guidelines related to utility systems.
  • Documentation & Reporting: You will maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, failure analysis, and compliance audits.
  • Continuous Improvement: Your focus will be on identifying opportunities for enhancing equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and improving maintenance practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support operational goals and projects.
