Team Lead - Intercompany Accounting Job Description

This is a highly skilled role that requires an individual to handle end-to-end intercompany processes, manage a team of 3-4 members, and oversee their day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling IC ledger reviews, reconciliations, and month end close activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle end-to-end IC process management, team supervision, and operational oversight
  • Understand IC accounting process at Medline, learn IC balances elimination logics set in Oracle FCCS
  • Review Month End activities performed by IC team, including billing for IC transactions, Global IC BS and P&L Variances
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve global IC variances, post top-side entry in Oracle FCCS for high-value variances
  • Review BS reconciliation of IC GLs, ensure necessary backups are available and well documented
  • Provide feedback to team members with required action plan, timely follow-up with global Controller's on pending data/open queries
  • Handle queries from Audit and Tax teams, provide solutions to multiple stakeholders on adhoc and regular queries
  • Establish effective communication between team and stakeholders, standardize IC process and assign end-to-end activities to team members
Qualification and Experience:
  • CA – 8+ years of work experience in Finance Controllership / Consolidations, Inter-Company Accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of Consolidations accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience in handling Inter company accounting / IC ledger reviews / reconciliations etc.
  • Month end close experience is required, transformation projects experience will be an add-on
  • Team handling experience is required, end-to-end process knowledge of intercompany process
  • Experience in handling multiple stakeholders from different global regions
Technical Skills:
  • Multiple ERP systems knowledge (SAP & QAD)
  • Consolidation Platform Experience (Oracle FCCS, Hyperion, Tagetik, Trintech etc.)- Good to Have
  • Excellent excel skills, Blackline- Good to Have
