Site Management Excellence Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Management Excellence Manager to lead our site operations and drive excellence in performance, people management, and focused improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement the site's Management Excellence master plan for packaging hall & departmental level.
  2. Set objectives and priorities as part of the site leadership team, leading change management processes for the department.
  3. Maintain alignment between all parts of the site's supply chain by coordinating departments to work together in Management Excellence deployment.
  4. Lead and support departments in implementing Management Maturity System (MMS) practices to meet broad plans.
  5. Couch managers to develop teams at all levels to produce performance results through Management Excellence practices.
People Management
  1. Demonstrate managerial leadership to develop team against role capabilities.
  2. Ensure effective implementation of Management Excellence training & development programmes by aligning site /line management.
  3. Coordinate Management Excellence TOT and evaluation programmes to maintain consistency of approach and ensure alignment with Diageo Capability programme.
Focused Improvement
  1. Provide expert loss & waste leadership and coaching to operational teams.
  2. Participate in and lead improvement projects using the DMAIC methodology.
  3. Develop specific manufacturing performance improvement initiatives to optimize cost, eliminate waste and improve operational flexibility.
  4. Engage with the Daily Operational Review meetings to provide expert analysis of performance improvement opportunities.
  5. Practice maturity assessments - Develop & implement a Practice Maturity improvement Management Excellence strategy for site and conduct regular assessments.
Team Meetings & Communications
  1. Implement weekly/monthly/quarterly communications to drive engagement and momentum of the Management Excellence journey.
  2. Support task forces and shift-based teams in their deployment of Management Excellence through regular meetings and communication of activities.
  3. Define and establish the site leadership team's schedule to support and lead the deployment of Management Excellence.
