Job Title: Purchasing Operations Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Purchasing Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operational procurement processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational procurement: daily ordering of goods and services, follow-up of orders, and contacting suppliers on delivery and commercial issues
  • Purchase Order Management: creation, release, and follow-up of POs based on requested demands and negotiated prices and conditions at defined suppliers
  • Check of not processed purchase requisitions
  • Purchasing data maintenance in ERP system to ensure timely and correct processing of purchase orders to suppliers
  • Manage order confirmations from suppliers, including manual maintenance
  • First interface to suppliers for clarifications on deviating order confirmations (prices, quantities, dates)
  • Regular check of overdue/non confirmed/open purchase orders and respective PO rescheduling in cooperation with relevant departments
  • Supplier invoice management/clarification in case of deviation
  • Daily maintenance of KPI reports and trackers and creation of operational reports (material availability, open order book etc)
  • Close cooperation with specialist fields, Strategic Procurement/Global Purchasing, accounting department, Material Planning, Engineering, Plant SCM operations

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Graduate in Engineering or Equivalent/ Post Graduate in any stream
  • Masters with 2-3 years/Bachelors with 2-3 years of experience
  • Purchasing exposure in Manufacturing or Electrical Industry or shared service center
  • Domain Knowledge - SCM
  • Reporting and Analysis
  • PO and Supply Management
  • Order Mgt (ERPs/IT Applications/CRM Application)
  • Master Data Management
  • Effective Communication, Presentation & Listening Skills, German Language proficiency preferred
