Job Summary:

The role of a strategic purchasing specialist is to manage end-to-end purchasing activities for allocated commodities. The position holder is responsible for on-boarding strategic vendor partners for particular part categories within DMC and capex targets received from product lines, ensuring cost efficiencies by deploying various cost reduction levers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Process Execution: Execute DMC (Direct Material Cost) and Capex estimation for upcoming models.">
  • Identify vendors with advance technology, prepare business plans and validate vendors initiating empanelment processes.">
  • Check SOR on technical specifications shortlisting vendors.">
  • Execute RFQ documents floating to vendors and ensure TRSO signoff from SQ.">
  • Analyze quotations received for RFQs.">
  • Execute cost estimates for parts as per TML standard costing process.">
  • Propose shortlists of suitable vendors after negotiation.">
  • Recommend SOBs for vendors as per organizations' long-term sourcing strategies.">
  • Obtain internal approval for vendor finalization through sourcing councils and release purchase orders.">
  • Monitor and review financial health operations IR health etc. of suppliers for long-term sustainability.">

  • Knowledge of various raw materials and commercial implications">
